MartaCapponiSept2017MaMaLu Project is a very exciting Trio formed by Marta Capponi, Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Marcelo Andrade (African Tree) on guitar, saxophone, flute and violin, guitarist Luca Boscagin who travels with ease from Jazz to Brazilian and Electronic Music, Master of Loops and Guitar Effects. Their repertoire is a blend of original compositions, brazilian, jazz and pop stone songs revisited with a unique sound.

“Marta Capponi isn’t just a singer, she is an amazing musician who takes her craft seriously. In Marta’s improvisation one hears the knowledge and feel she has for rhythm, melodies and harmony.  Powerful.” Heidi Vogel

“…raw, original talent…her voice—crystal clear, precisely controlled, robust in the high notes, yet smooth and sentimental in the delivery of the softer ones. Using it as an instrument, in the end of the song she displayed the first instance of her immense talent in scatting, defining what jazz improvisation is all about.” Thanasis Kalantzis for Cabaret Scenes

” Marta Capponi, a sparkle with a beautiful voice….” Antonio Forcione

“Marcelo Andrade’s…..African Tree serves notice to a very substantial talent.” Jazzwise
